Summer

I´don really think too much about what I'm going to do in summer, or in fact, I don´t think too mucha about if I´m going to travel somewhere. People usuallythinks in travel when they think in summer or vacation. I think that´s nice but I am so undecided that I never have plans for summer. Often I stay in Santiago, I sleep a lot, i´m going out with my friends.or I visit them. I play a lot of music. or even I watch a lot of series hahah.

It's true that I love to travel somewhere, butI never decided that at time. You know, a travel needs to be prepared, and you need to take care about the money, the places you´ll like to visit, and even what you want to do... Sometimes it´stoo much for me... In vacation I NEED to rest. Maybe it´s only an obstacle that I put in my own way, but also it's true that I really enjoy allof my summer.

This year I definitly want to work for a few money, somaybe I con go out with my couple. My family are from Linares, and all their life they were going to "Pejerrey" aplace in the premountain sector near Linares. I was going to that place when I was a child, many times. and I would love to show that beautiful river to my couple. Also, I would like to travel with she to "Carretera Austral," in the south of the country.

Something that happens to me with travels is that i dont feel the need to travel, I feel that there are too many things to do here first. But at the same way, when I had travel to other places, I feel incredible, and renovated, so I think that anything you do,travel or not, you will learn a lot... hahah writing this I feel a big desire to travel... Maybe it´s like tatoo.. an addiction.

Also, with the understanding that I've learned in Geography, I have the security that I need to study more, and know ALL things about the place I  would like to visit... you know, I'm not going to travel to the south of my country if I can´t identify the birds and plants that wrog in there. It would be a waste!... hahah maybe I'm being too hard with me,I would'nt be a waste... But I'm sure that I´ll enjoy that travel much more if I have knowledge about my destination.

I left a pic of Janis bc of her song "Summertime" :)

Bucket List

Hi again dear all, now I´m writting in comic sans.

Ok, It´s a joke, Comic Sans is kind of ugly.
Today I´ll write about the things that I want to do before I die, someting like a Bucket List.
I think this topic is very difficult to me because it´s something that I never think, really.
Whatever, of course there are things that I wanted to do, or maybe you can call it "Dreams" or something, I don't know....
Here is the list:

- Get a big truck
- Record many Albums (At least one)
- Recognize birds songs
- Do Sports regularly
- Know about vegetation distribution
- Write theory about culture, and territorial development.
- Having a cooperative society to work (culture if it´s posibble)
- Being a very good double bassist

I think that are dreams very possible to make. But they need very much practice and dedication for my part. For example, to recognize the bird song, or know about vegetatoin and geography, I need to study a lot, and for write theory, I need to read a lot too. In the same way, to being  a very good musician I need to practice, practice, practice, practice.....

The reason to want a big truck is because with it, (with my fellows in the production company that we have,) we would move all the audio systems to any place we want. That is real dream that we have.

A postgraduate studies? hahah (Idontknowwhattodowithmylifehelp)

I definitly would like to study music after I get graduated. But I think, and every time I am more conviced that I dont want to do it in an academy or institute. I´m sure that an institute will be very helpgful for many things, but I think I need to do other things that are more important to me than get in a music institute.... I'll love to travel.. hm I don´t know, to Philadelphia and geit in the Curtis Music Institute, one of the most connoted music institute in the world. But wel, I watch me with another obligations. My aspirations with music are differnte, of course I'll like to get in there and being an expert musician who plays in magnificent theaters. But there is another world to me.
there are a lot of thing that I can do, anyway... and the guy who taught me music is there too, always being willing to play with me. I think I would like to see him more often again.

By other side, here in the university, I´ve listen rumours that you can inscribe in postgrade or magister studies right away you were licenced (or titled? i´m not really sure... I need more info), so you can get that academic grade in lees time than usual. Thats ir really really attractive to me. The other day I was chatting with my sister, and she recommend me to study another grade. She said that life is more easy, and if you´re a doctor, the other people treat you with respect... I have an opinion about this kind of people.

Whatever, I´m not really sure about what I will do in future (I need to think about it quickly), but I hope it will be full of love <3 ;)

PD: I add a picture oif a guy with his doublebass,bc I play it too, and I love basses. I don´t know who is he but that look like a great doublebass.

My future Job....bbbb

It's always been my "dream" (or something like that) to work with the music. I´m a musician, and I know that getting paid for play it´s really attractive. However, I dont´´t think that the music can sustain my life... at least not all of it.
Now, in fact, I have always thought that the scene and the play it's not everything in music. Moreover, the most important thing in music it´s not the show... the show it´s a detail. the real relevance of music is it capacity to create culture, cultural flow in the terrain, and between the people. The music can create cultural resistance and identity.  The power of "reunion" of the music it´s one of  it´s most important properties.
So here you have me, studing geography, and often playing music, of course. Why? because the geography brings to me special interess and tools to analize and undertand the terrain in a efficient, and effective way. It shows to me the route to turn myslf in a person who works the culture, understanding it, and understand how it is transformed, and so how can we build a new way of doing and thinking.
I don´t really understand how can be this possible, and how many i need to know to be succesfull. but I imagine me working with the people, maybe in a neighborhood cousin, or by part of the municipality, but always thinking in solve problems with a cultural perspective... understanding all the things that are in this perspective.Culture is not just culture, and it´s not just art neither. The culture its composed by all the actions of the people, and the way that they understand their own cosmovition. the culture it´s mutable, and much more today with the technology at disposal of the people. and the massive access to information... the culture changes... and our choices change. I recomend to chek Terry Eagleton´s work, it´s very interesting, and also, Paulo Freire's "La Pedagogía del oprimido", where they talk all about this topics, and also education, for example.

In this sense I'll love to work in a school, with kids... work in education, or make classes or workshops about music, culture and policy.

But maybe the thing that I want most it´s imagine myself as a culture manager, or something similar. And i will love, for example, that the event production organizaton in wich I take part, could work, and have the capacity to bring us economic sustain, and we can work creating concerts, and culture in a bigger scale each time.

Greetings! and remember,
"The dreams do come true"

My favorite Book

If I had to talk about myself, I think that I'm a person who likes to read. But actually I don´t read very much. Anyway, I had read many books in my life, but there's one that I remember with real affection. It is White Fang, from Jack London. He is an American writer, who was born in San Francisco on January 12th of 1876, and died at the age of 40, in Glen Ellen, on november 22th, 1916. This book, "White Fang", was publiched for the first time on 1906, and tells the story about the life, and all the places and situations that a wolf need to go through to survive. The wolf's name is "White Fang". It's called White Fang by a native guy who take care of it for the first years of it's life. It´s a very emotional story, if you think in all the hate and suffer that is reflected in it. But Actually there's a lot of love in the life of our wolf.

This was the first book that I remember reading  complete, with my father, when I was very young. Actually  maybe he was teaching to me that I need to read, and showing me the wonderfull world hidden in books. When I grow up, about maybe when I was 13 years, I found the book again, and I rememeber devouring it! and I don't even need to say that I love the story...

Actually there's a lot of adaptations for this book (to movie, for example), so we can say that is an actaul classic of literaure.

Anyway, I love the book and the storie because it remind me about my father and he reading to me, he showing to me the books, the stories, the fantasy inside our head... I think that I even remember his smell when we read. It is very important to me.

Well, so maybe leave your favorite books here in the comments section, so who knows... maybe I found a book that blows my mind again
Greetings :),

(and Happy Chile! on it's birthday)

My favorite movie?

Well, I think that I don't know very much about movies, but if I need to choose one very good movie, I definitly recommend the "Dead Poets Society". Its a very deep and entertaining movie. It talks about a few students and a literature teacher in a prestiguious university, and how about that influences and change the life of his students.
The movie was directed by Peter Weir, with a plot of Tom Schulman... and featuring Robin Williams! Well, te movie is from 1989, so we can say that is an old movie, but actually only a bit old movie.
I think that the best thing about this movie is the plot, definitly, and how it is developed, and the way that the caracters are developed too.
I usually like watching animated movies, or series, in fact, the last movie that I've watched was last week, and it´s called "Akira", an anime movie. However,I remember "Dead Poets Society" with a little exitement.
Its interesting, because there are rumors about that the plot was inspired in the experiences of Shulman in the Montgomery Bell Academy, in Nashville, with an english teacher... so, thing in this movie like a real life based story its very exciting to me! You all should watch this movie, at least one time in your lifes.

A really good show at the stage... Roger Waters in Chile, 2012

Today I choose a Concert to talk about. I think i have been in a lot of concerts, or "music nights" in different places of Santiago, but  I remember one of the most incredible concerts that I had the opportunitie to listen to. That was Roger Waters's concert about "The Wall", in early 2012.

since I have memory I remember that my father love music, and we always listen a lot of music, and a great variety of it. So on, I listen to Pink Floyd in very young, and a couple of years later i was able to see te movie of "The Wall".

But in March's second and third (I don't remember wich of those two days we've go to the concert) my father was convinced that wee NEEDED to see that concert. I agree with him. So he payed and we attend to the concert.

Once there was incredible. All the symbols that we've watched in the movie were there, but in another way, I remember the incredible huge screen, and all the production of the stage really blew my mind. There was a real wall being built over the scene during the show, brick by brick, all at the same time of the music was played. And was amazing, because once the wall was completed, and all the fears and laws and roles represented on the music during the show was sayed to the crowd, there was an airlplane that fly over all of us, from the back of the satadium to crash in the middle of the  stage, and breaking all the wall!

There was the same concept that they put in the movie, and the way that they represented those feelings and that messages live, is worthy of praise, and I am very grateful of being able to attend that day with my father.

You don't see incredible shows live everyday... unlees you have a DVD or something, or the concert was inYoutube, for example. But it's true, its not the same watch it live, that in a screen, but wathever, you can check more concerts of Roger Waters, or Pink Floyd, and they are incredible too.
Chek it out Peter Gabriel concerts, for example, an there is a lot of more good shows... so it's an invitation to search! Give a recomendation in the comments if you want,
Hugs, and have a nice day!
